What is two-factor authentication?

Two-factor authentication is an additional layer of security that provides a second verification of your online identity. Stonebridge Bank provides two options for two-factor authentication: The RSA SecurIDTM token and the Shared Secret method. The RSA SecurIDTM token uses a token with a digital readout you must enter upon login. The Shared Secret is a randomly generated question that you will have to answer before login is complete. These are questions that only you will know the answer to.

What is a RSA SecurID™ Token?

RSA SecurID™ tokens are as simple to use as entering a password, but much more secure. You will be assigned a token which generates a new, unpredictable password every 60 seconds. You combine this number with your existing user name and password to log on to our website. This new feature increases the security of your accounts. RSA Security Inc., is one of the most trusted names in e-security.

How does it increase your security?

In today’s world, you may be at risk from many different scams. One of the most popular is a "Phishing" scam. In this kind of scam, users are tricked into giving their user name and passwords to criminals. With the SecurID™ Token, even if criminals get a hold of a customer’s user name and password, they are not able to login to their account without the SecurID™ Token.

How do I obtain a SecurID™ Token?

After you login, go to the "other services" link found in the left hand navigation. You will then be presented with an informational page containing your options for two-factor authentication. If I already have an RSA Token for another purpose, can I use the same one to login to my Stonebridge Bank account?

No. You must have a Stonebridge Bank-issued RSA SecurID™ Token should you select this method of two-factor authentication for your Stonebridge Bank account.

As a customer of Stonebridge Bank, am I required to use two-factor authentication?

Yes, Stonebridge Bank does require our customers to use a form of two-factor authentication on their accounts. Stonebridge Business customers are required to use the RSA SecureID™ token as their method of two-factor authentication.

Will I be able to use the same token for both personal and business accounts?

If requested, Stonebridge Bank has the capability of issuing one token for different sign-on IDs.

Once I enroll for the RSA SecurID™ token, do I have to use it to login every time?

YES. You will be required to use the token EVERY time you login to your Stonebridge Bank account. No exceptions, this is to protect your online security and would otherwise defeat the purpose of the token.

Do I need to login to my account from the same computer each time?

No. In fact, the RSA SecurID™ token allows you to safely login to your account from any location without worry!

If I select the SecurID™ token as my method of two-factor authentication, will I also have to use Shared Secret to access my account?

No. Only one method of two-factor authentication is needed.

Can this method of two-factor authentication be disabled if I no longer wish to use it?

Yes. You may disable your RSA SecurID™ token for no charge, but you will then be required to use the Shared Secret form of two-factor authentication.

What do I do with my token if I close my Stonebridge Bank account?

Stonebridge Bank will not charge you to disable your token, however, we do ask that all unused tokens be returned to us either by mail or in person.

What if my SecurID™ Token is lost, stolen or damaged?

If your SecurID Token is lost, stolen or damaged, contact our Customer Service Department immediately at 1-800-807-1666. There is a $25 replacement fee for all lost, stolen or damaged tokens.

How long will it take to receive a replacement token?

You will receive your replacement token within 5-7 business days from when you report it lost, stolen or damaged. However, overnight delivery is available for a $20 express delivery fee.

What is the charge for the RSA SecureID™ token?

The RSA SecureID™ is free to Stonebridge Bank customers for the first year. After the first year, there is an annual fee of $25.
